Why your sunscreen knows us

☀️ Summer, sun, protection

After the many rainy days of recent weeks, the first sunny days are now even more enjoyable—whether at the lake, the outdoor pool, or gardening.
But despite all the fun, sun protection is not just a “summer accessory,” but a real health precaution.

Why sun protection is so important:
• Even small doses of UV radiation can damage skin cells – often without visible sunburn
• According to the WHO, protection is recommended even on cloudy days when the UV index reaches 3
• Underestimated: Even in the shade or in water, some UV rays still reach us
• Health factor: UV radiation is the most important risk factor for skin cancer (source: Federal Environment Agency)

How to use sunscreen correctly:
• Pay attention to the amount: Adults need approx. 30–40 ml per full-body application (this corresponds to about two heaped tablespoons)
• Apply before sun exposure: approx. 20–30 minutes before going outside – and then reapply regularly, especially after swimming or sweating
• Select a broad-spectrum filter: Protects against both UVB rays (sunburn) and UVA rays (skin aging, cancer risk)
• Check the expiration date: Expired sunscreen loses its effectiveness

➡️ Perhaps it has already seen our fittings from the inside.
Before sunscreen ends up on the shelf, it is bottled in industrial facilities – and some of these facilities contain stainless steel fittings like ours.
Our contribution: hygienic, precise, and durable fittings that ensure safety in the manufacturing process.
