After we had determined the optimal quantity, shape and placement of our new packaging pads in extensive tests, it was time to plan and introduce the first new machine for the production of our paper-based and environmentally friendly packaging material. After all, testing is one thing, but the daily handling of a new technology is another. 🙌🏼
The optimal installation site had to be found as well as the integration into the packaging process with short distances. A special challenge was the parallel operation with the old technology until the last supply of plastic padding material was used up. But the effort was worthwhile - because plastic is now a thing of the past at M&S. 😉
